After the 2005 Reform :

It is no longer necessary to allege cause in order to request separation or divorce. In addition, you can request a divorce without prior separation.

Divorce

HOW A DIVORCE IS STARTED

 

  • A letter is sent to your spouse, instructing him to come to this office or to find a lawyer within 72 hours in order to begin the process.

  • If he responds, we try to reach an agreement with the other lawyer, if he comes without a lawyer, we try to reach an agreement between the three and if he does not do either of the two previous things, we initiate the judicial process.

  • We take care of everything else.

MARRIAGE NULLITIES

The declaration of nullity of the marriage assumes that it has not existed and cannot take effect.
